On the occasion of the literary festival Duemilalibri 2023, the artist Andrea Crespi has produced the limited edition Alessandro Manzoni, a silkscreen print in 150 copies, made on the pages of a historical edition of I Promessi Sposi printed in Milan in 1869.
The work celebrates the 150th anniversary of the death of Alessandro Manzoni, one of the greatest authors of our tradition: I Promessi Sposi, his most famous historical novel, is considered the most beloved and most widely read among those written in the Italian language. The pages of this literary masterpiece have become the protagonist and support of the work, so that each copy is a unique piece.
Presented at the inauguration of the 24th edition of the Giornate del libro e dell'autore (Book and Author's Days), the multiple is on display and can be purchased at the Museum Bookshop for €150.00.
